Meet The Candidates

In the 2022 election, four seats on the North Carolina Court of Appeals are up for contention and two of these seats are held by Republicans seeking re-election: Chief Judge Donna Stroud and Judge John Tyson. In an effort to turn two Democratic seats red, Judge Michael Stading and Julee Flood are also seeking election. Republicans currently hold a 10-5 majority in the NC Court of Appeals, so this is an opportunity to increase that majority. Meet the candidates below.
